Despite being sent to the rear after a late race incident in the final of the KRE Sprintcar Series at the Brisbane International Speedway Redcliffe resident Ricky Mitchell achieved his season goal of finishing inside the top 10 in the overall points Championship in his #19 Eagle Ignition Leads / Penrite Cheetah.

Last Saturday night (May 28) Queenslander Ricky Mitchell had a reasonable night behind the wheel of his new Eagle Ignition Leads / Penrite #19 Cheetah at round 14 of the KRE Sprintcar Series at the Brisbane International Speedway. After missing the all important top six dash by a mere 1 point he started the final from position 7 ultimately finishing the A-Main in tenth place.

After a run of tough outings Ricky Mitchell and the Eagle Ignition Leads / Penrite race team had a pretty reasonable night last Saturday night at the latest round of the KRE Sprintcar Series at the Brisbane International Speedway but according to Car Owner Peter Mitchell “We unfortunately outsmarted ourselves in the feature, but nevertheless it was a promising result”.

For the second week in a row Ricky Mitchell had a tough event at the Brisbane International Speedway last Saturday night but after a close examination of the Cheetah Chassis the team is now close to solving the problems they have encountered over the past fortnight.

After a sitting out last weekend due to work commitments Redcliffe resident Ricky Mitchell will return to the Brisbane International Speedway this Saturday night (May 7) for round 12 of the KRE Sprintcar Series. After a disappointing result during the Easter Sprintcar Shootout at BIS a couple of weeks ago Ricky will be keen to bounce back this weekend and run up front in his #19 Eagle Ignition Leads / Penrite supported Cheetah.

Redcliffe resident Ricky Mitchell was one of 28 drivers who fronted for round 10 of the KRE Sprintcar Series last Saturday night (April 9) at the Brisbane International Speedway and after an impressive time trial he managed to secure a top 10 result in his #19 Eagle Ignition Leads / Penrite Cheetah. The result proved to be a crucial one for Ricky as it was a double points round and he managed to finish ahead of a number of his closest rivals in the overall points championship.

After finishing on the infield a fortnight ago a disappointed Ricky Mitchell failed to finish the A-Main once again on Saturday night at the KRE Sprintcar event at the Brisbane International Speedway, this time after being caught up in an opening lap altercation.

For the second meeting in a row Redcliffe’s Ricky Mitchell showed great car speed behind the wheel of his #19 Penrite / Eagle Ignition Leads Cheetah but unlike his previous show his race pace didn’t produce a top ten result. But despite finishing on the infield of the latest KRE Sprintcar Series event at the Brisbane International Speedway the Team still took a lot of positives out of the weekend and they now believe that they are definitely heading in the right direction.
